Katie Karakosta, originally from Chicago, graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors degree in Hospitality & Event Management. During her time at UF, Katie interned with The Alachua County Housing Authority where she helped plan several city-wide events including the Alachua County Legislative Day in the state’s capital of Tallahassee. Katie later worked for Toyota where she assisted with the planning of both domestic and international incentive trips for the employees of the Parts and Services department. After graduating she returned to her hometown in order to do what she loves, planning creative events. Since returning to Chicago, Katie worked for the Society of Incentive Travel Executives planning their annual educational conference as well as many other events throughout the year. After working for other event planning companies in the city she decided to break out on her own and start We’ve Got It! Chicago! Katie has also taken on the volunteer role of Special Events Chair for the Windy City Gator Club, the Chicago chapter of the University of Florida Alumni Association.

Alison Hightower grew up in Gainesville, Florida. She attended the University of Florida and graduated with a BS in Event Management. During her time in school, Alison interned with the City of Gainesville Department of Cultural Affairs, assisting in the planning of major city-wide events such as the Downtown Festival and Arts Show, the Hogtown Medieval Faire, and the Blues and Jazz Festival. She also interned with local caterer, Gator's Dockside Catering, where she coordinated events for Gator Tip-Off Club and the Chamber of Commerce.
After graduation, Alison took a job with the university as a Coordinator of Public Functions for the Office of the Provost. In this position, she planned campus-wide faculty events. She is currently working towards her MS in Management. Alison is a volunteer event coordinator for Phoenix Animal Rescue and has worked with the Gainesville Young Alumni Council, in addition to planning her own 2007 wedding. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her husband and dog and going to Gator football and basketball games.
